Apologies and Rare Fasciculations

David, sorry about what you’re going through. In discussing the rare cases where fasciculations might present early, the Department of Neurology at the Mayo clinic issued a statement (in response to a letter published in the Annals of Neurology) that “in their experience” (which is extensive) such cases “always” have electromyographic (EMG) abnormalities when they present with fasciculation. No one can ever say anything for 100%, but this sounds like a good thing to me. Hope it helps a little.

no need to apoligize.Im sorry to hear your having all the worry and doubt that comes along with What ever all this is. I know youve been told before, but to say it again, the stress factor of just thinking about it will make it alot worse, doom and gloom, 3 clean EMG's means alot!!!! Try stretching your calves and piriformis muscle (groin area) it may help and make sure your gettin enough sleep

Thank you for sharing. So I guess pain was not all that present? The Neuro DR I saw said pain was really not a factor much. One Dr told me you probably would first notice you could not turn the car key or could not grasp something ( like a golf club ) That was a very sad story and my heart goes out to you. Perhaps it was best that only 4 months went by and he did not suffer longer. You do not sound like you have *** but bfs
