I came across a very reassuring thread in another forum. One poster (he shows up on page 2 and goes by the name "itoldyouiwasill") has a very gentle, yet straightforward way of explaining how our symptoms (sensory and twitching) are indeed physical manifestations of anxiety. He uses a clever analogy to someone who overate for years and years, weighs 400 lbs., and then starts to eat right...they're not going to lose all that weight overnight, right? I guess our nervous system works the same way. In any case, I'm not saying anything new here that hasn't already been said, but I am not an easy person to reassure and this thread actually made me feel calm tonight. Definitely worth sharing and I'm sure you will be able to relate. (Don't mind the misspelling btw)
