Anxiety over Increased Twitching

Hello All, I have been very nervous again recently as I have felt some what I would say Mild cramping all over and my twitches have increased. I have started to get more in my abdomen and chest which I have never had before and that my nero said was where you see twitching in ALS. He also said I did not have ALS 3 times and did an EMG on my arms where my twitching stated and didn't even get twitches during the test said it was very normal. That was 8 months ago. I was fine but recently for about a month have noticed the above symptoms. Plus a feeling of what I would say is tired arms when using them to hold my Cell phone or remote. My cramps would be more like spots of pain and not intense cramps. They just feel like cramping. I went to my GP and he said my pain sound like a disk issue in my next and lower back and had me set up an appointment with my NERO again. This all really got intense when I began the process of closing on my new home. Any advice on all this stuff popping back up almost a year later in normal a part of the stress of this big purchase or something more?

I believe your initial instincts are correct on this one. The stress of buying and/or selling a home coupled with moving is a major life event and can be incredibly stressful. The coinciding increased symptoms with this major event don't sound like a coincidence to me. Stress does have an incredible power, but here's the thing. It only has power when we give it power. We always have a choice in how we will handle something. Yes it can be difficult to break free of our habitual ways of thinking or handling/reacting to certain situations or scenarios, but it is possible and we do have a choice. When we don't let things go and we take on unnecessary burdens, we make a choice to add stress to our lives. Equally so, when we go with the flow and simply decide to trust the process of life, we make a choice to remove stress from our lives. We like to look for external forces and factors to blame our problems on, but it is we who decide how to perceive them (our problems). What is, simply is. It is how we perceive it, judge it, label it that determines our level of happiness. Learn to recognize your own tendencies, your own biases, your habitual ways of reacting to certain situations. Realize the areas where you are unnecessarily adding stress to your life. Learn to let go and to trust the process of life. It will take work, but it will be worth it in the end. Take your power back. Empower yourself.

Moving has to be one of the most stressful life events, hands down. I have had to move while I had BFS, and it was an utterly miserable experience.Just the exertion required was debilitating, as I was dealing with a decent amount of fatigue at that stage, still. As you wear yourself down in any fashion, whether it be emotional, physical, or mentally, your BFS can flare up much worse, no doubt.Hang in there.
