Antibiotics Treatment: 4 Days In

Hey,I posted in another thread that i did one moth of amoxycillin with no effects whatsoever. I found a doctor thats willing to treat me with some more hardcore stuff. I have started a combination therapy of antibiotics for one month. Ill keep you posted about the side effects or any worsening or improvements in symptoms. After 4 days i have no improvement or herxheimer reaction yet. If i dont get some good results from this therapy i will lay the lyme theory to rest. Actually to tell you the truth in my view the famous herxheiner reaction can very well be a side effect to the antibiotics, many side effects actually are identical to what i experience now like dizzyness and paresthesia.

Hey guys,One week update, no effect of antibiotics, actually im tolerating them pretty well, 10 days passed since i started. Shouldnt i get a herx by now? My symptoms are exactly the same not worse not better. I just got a mild stomach pain which is transient. Face tingling, visual sparks and twittches are all still there.

It's a reaction when the bacteria (if it exists) starts dying and releases toxins, you feel worse but it's a "good" sign cuz the bacteria actually dies, at least that's what the lyme doctors say.It also happens in syphillis when you start antibiotics, considering i don't have this reaction after 2 weeks i suppose either i don't have lyme or the meds are not working although i start to think it's the first option because i'm on some pretty strong stuff, one of them is used to treat anhrax, ANTHRAX!!!So after i finish the treatment i will come with some useful feedback, i think my sypmtoms are somewhat diminished but barely. Im not 100% sure it's due to the antibiotics.

Many on this board have said that they started long term flasiculations after taking cipro including one of the moderaters Gary M in a post he posted not long ago here called What triggered your BFS in the general topics section of this forum. Quinlones including levaquin and cipro are suspected to have neurological repurcussions. Also put cipro in the search bar and you will find out more about it. I am not trying to scare you but this may be the reason you are not getting any less fasiculations. Good Luck.Mary

I read about the side effects of cipro before i started, considering i already have twitches and messed up sensory issues im willing to take the risk. The stuff i feel on my head daily really hAs an impact besides the anxiety. My face and scalp is burning 24/7 an i have a low grade headache for months, shooting pains in every single nerve on my skull and insupportable eye pain. Not to mention the freaky panoply of constant garbage i see. If this sounds like bfs the fact that all this is benign doesn't really help me much. I've learned a lot of selfcontrol and coping mechanisms just to not go nuts. If cipro will mess me up even more well when its raining it can rain a bit more.

Finished antibiotics, no results guys, that's it for me, no more lyme hypothesis, negative tests 2 times and no response to antibiotics doesn't mean nasty resistant lyme disease, it means no lyme. Unfortunately right now i am at square 0 like i was when it all started. Good health to everybody.
