Hello Everyone,I just wanted to let everyone know that I went for my EMG yesterday and had the procedure done on my right leg. Both the nerve conduction test and the muscle test both had normal results and with that and the other normal tests results that I have my neuro gave me the diagnosis of BFS. He advised me that I could seek a second opinion of course and that he would still refer me to the University Of Virginia Neurolgy Department if I wished for they were very familiar with the various muscular and nerve conditions that are out there but he felt confident that mine was of a benign nature. it seemed that the lack of any weakness was one of the main things that supported his diagnosis. He advised me to follow up in six months with him unless I needed to earlier but he didn't expect that I would need to. I am so very glad that the test all came back normal but I guess I am in that in between stage of dealing with the thought that I have been told that I have something that can't be cured, that is not understood exactly what caused it, and that has such uncertainty with the future as far as range of symptoms and their severity as well as duration of the syndrome itself. I also realize though with all that said that it could be so much worse and that I am very lucky to be in the shape that I am as oppsosed to the many worse situations that I could be in and for that I am grateful and I am sure that there are many more here on this forum that have realized that as well. I am thankful for all the people thathave taken time to post their stories and experiences for they have helped me greatly and I am sure I will still rely on them in the future and hope to do my part to help others here as much as I can.Breathing Easier,Mike
