Ankle/Hand Stiffness/Pain Questions

I have a very strange type of stiffness or maybe tightness is the word, in my right ankle, not to much constant pain with it except for the occaisional shooting pain on top but inside ankle. My right fingers and hand feel somewhat stiff as well. My ankle feels swollen at times as well, and fingers on right hand seem puffy. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone. Just curious. Dont really want to start freaking out about a new symptom if it is somewhat common in BFS. Let me know. :p

Mommy I lose track of the sensory stuff, but the hot feet ( usually my right) is a regular thing. Especially when in bed. Have to stick the foot out the covers and have been known the run it under some cold water to 'cool' it down. The ankle pain & stiffness is also a regular but I think it is more a muscle/ligament/joint thing, and not BFS related. A nerve pinch certainly will cause a shooting pain ( I can confess to that after major back surgery). Not all aches and pains are BFS related. Can be entirely different things ( not nasties) that many non BFS people would experience on a day to day basis. Try not to focus on all these 'things' The quicker you get them out of your mind, the quicker they become a non event ie they dont even register (sometimes not even noticed- you get used to them eg twitching) as anything bar you body doing 'normal' things. As some else has posted...' if you dont mind they dont matter' :) cheersRodger

I was going to type an answer to your post and when I got to the bottom of the post chain - there it was - another sponsor ad for Parkinson's websites. I do not understand why there are constantly ads in the postings for Parkinson's sites?? Some of us have concerns about that disease - and many of the symptoms people post on here are experienced by those with PD. However, like everyone else, I'm trying to get my anxiety under control and it doesn't help that everytime I come on here and read posts I see more advertisements for PD. Does anyone know why those show up? I never see any for ALS, so there must be some way that certain sponsors are accepted/denied.Anyway . . . yes I can identify with what you describe. A new symptom of mine is the strange feeling in my right hand. It's not pain - just a feeling that something is off and pins and needles. I haven't slept for the last three nights b/c when I lay down I get the sensation that my hands are going to move even when they are still. The sensation is so disturbing that I can tell my brain is contantly working over time to sense any movement or perceived movement. Twitching has been minimal for me in recent months, but the feeling that I'm going to start shaking and other sensory symptoms have continued to escalate.
