I think if it were one of the worst for the liver, there would be monitoring of liver functions are there are on many other drugs that are considered hard on the liver. I took it for a while, was given it by three doctors and none of them mentioned liver complications. It is a very old drug, and considered a "good drug" in terms of few complications.
