Amazing Relief - No Twitches!

Isn't this wonderful?

I no longer have twitches (that I notice), but instead I have these "jerking" motions.

I only seem to notice it when I'm sitting down or using an arm, etc. When I extend the arm it feels like a little "shock" and the limb "jumps" a tiny bit. It feels like tension building up then releasing, resulting in the "jerk". I also get it a fair bit recently in my neck. It feels more than it is, but I've had this since Monday now, and it seems to come and go in terms of severity.
I actually had this in my neck this time last year around the busy Christmas period, and it took a while to clear up.

I do know that on Thursday and Friday last week I had an awful time at work, very stressful. Today is the first day since then that I've not had any form of a headache ... was thinking maybe stress could be causing these "jerks" or "jolts". It's a long shot, but there does seem to be a bit too much of a coincidence.

I remember I had this sort of thing

Typical however that the twitches stop and this starts! I'd rather have the twitches! Come back!!!

Remember that tingling is not a symptom of als. Your 4 emg's completely rule it out. While most people who have als are older, it is still a rare disease and highly unlikely that you will get it. At any rate, your current tests show you do not have it now so the twitching is unrelated.

Mate, you've had 10 clean neuro exams and four EMG's.

I think it's time to chill.

I'm bricking it at the thought of going to the Neuro in February, so much that I might just ignore the appointment and "ride out" this twitching to such a time where it must be nothing.

I hate hospitals, and have a fear of going here next month and being told bad news ... even though deep down I know I'm fine.

People who've had so many pieces of good news and still panic are the ones I feel most sorry for. If I'd had so many clean exams and tests, I'd like to think I could move on.
