Hi,I have found very nice site for examiners about strenght tests, illustrated with photos. My neuro told me nobody with ALS would pass them.A few lession later there is testing of reflexes, very good for understanding.

but I am in no way knocking you for posting this. Its a good find. In an unrelated thought, I have found that breaking the cycle with these fears is dropping any kind of strength test. No tongue poking in cheek, no jumping up stairs, etc. If you keep doing that on a regular basis, the fear is still in mind, etc.

Yeah, my psychiatrist told me some time ago that this could be very helpful - if you see you are not weaking, you will feel better and be less anxious.

The best test for the tongue is "tongue pushups." You should be able to do a set of ten, if not, you're in deep doo doo. ;) Or, tongue fighting with your girlfriend/boyfriend. First you chant...one, two, three, four, I declare a tongue war...and then, with great agility, you try and depress the other persons tongue by keeping yours on top and in their mouth. It can lead to "twitching pants," so be careful. Basso
