I have been twitching for about 4 weeks now. I was recently made redundant and can honestly say I don't "FEEL" anxious about my situation at all but maybe this is the cause......I don't know. I also had a knee injury which led me to wear an elasticated bandage around my knee. Within an hour of removing it the twitches started for the first time.
Anyway, I wanted to ask everyone for their advice. Has everyone here been to see their doctor about their twitching or have some simply felt it not necessary ?
Also, I would like to know what should I say if my Doctor listens to my symptoms and then tells me there is nothing to worry about and leaves it at that. Should I insist on tests or be happy to accept his opinion ?
The symptoms are typical of other members on this board. Twitching predominantly in the calves (sometimes knees) sometimes in the same place for a few seconds and then elsewhere. I also suffer from random twitches all over my body. No identified weakness anywhere.
Like so many others, when this first started I "googled" the symptoms only to run smack into the ALS diagnosis. I truly thank God that within a few hours of finding this panic inducing news I then stumbled across your website that put everything into a bit of context.
