Adrenaline and Twitching Relief

does your twitching stop when you are being active? mine does.it makes me feel so normal when im busy doing something which involves movement ie cleanin, running. i read somewhere that adreniline is what makes the twitching stop

with me...yes. Active muscles-no twitching. But stationary muscles-twitches. But I can still be a 'active' and have twitching if certain muscles groups are stationary. Also facial twitches come and go regardless of 'activity'- so not all rosey!I believe adrenaline FUELS twitching big time, certainly does not reduce them! cheersRodger

Yup,For me active muscles mean no twitching...but in saying that i have been like running and had a twitch in my face so it doesnt stop it completely but I dont think I have ever twitched in a muscle I was using.

For the most part, I don't notice twitching when active. Ocassionally, I have a thumper in my thigh that will still twitch during activity. For me, the best therapy for BFS--aside from time--is staying active and keeping busy. A few months ago some things changed in life where I became not as busy, which I suppose allowed me to refocus on the twitching. Slowly the anxiety started to mount. You'd think that after 6-years this wouldn't phase me, but it still sneaks up on me sometimes.Sean** Today, 21 March, I have developed a non-stop thumper in my left thigh (usually they appear in my right). It's pretty violent, and it continues when I am standing. WTH? I mention it one day here and magically it appears the next day? This one I can see through my pants and it is pretty bad. UGH.

@ Sean, same here. Where abouts in Michigan are you? I lived in Traverse City for 10 years. Am out in California now as of this past year.Tanya

Tanya, I'm really close to Ann Arbor. Traverse City is such a great city. At the end of February a group of friends and I spent the weekend in Northpointe, north of Traverse. Have family in Suttons Bay. Sean

I've often wondered about this. When I'm active it feels like the twitches have stopped. But I'm not sure if they've truly stopped or if I simply can't feel them because of the physical activity. Certainly, after the physical activity ends, I feel them...often more strongly.

I think that is pretty normal for bfs. Not sure why. Most people notice that even when a muscle twitches when you go to try to look at it, it stops. Mostly because in order to look you move your muscle.

I certainly don't notice the twitching in muscles that are being used heavily, but, like someone else said, I will get twitchinng in my legs even when standing.
