Accepting BFS with Anxiety: Sleep Jerking?

Hey, I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I've had BFS for well over a year now and used to frequent this board quite often during the initial scare. Now my twitching is somewhat lower, and I have accepted it as being stress/anxiety without any visits to the doctor. What I was wondering was, if anybody has their legs kind of jerk just when they're about to go to sleep? This is by far one of the most annoying aspects of my condition, and I believe it to be a result of the body attempting to relax right before sleep, but the muscles are still tensed up. That's just a guess.

Absolutely. Sometimes legs or arms. At least it's a change of pace from twitching. I know other people have mentioned this also.

They are called myoclonic jerks. I had them really bad when I first started twitching. Right when I was drifting off to sleep I would have my legs, arms, sometimes even my back jerk. They have settled down quite a bit. If they get really bad you can try clonazepam before you go to sleep.

Got this from a neuro website:

The brief jerks can be non-specific and happen commonly to normal people, especially getting drowsy and waking up.

I get the same thing myself ...
