hey guys i have used this board before and found all of you quite reassuring but am now having some more problems my twitching first started 8 months ago on my roght foot then quickly spread elsewhere so my anxiety after finding out about u know what on the internet was through the roof. my doc sent me to a neuro and he did a complete exam without an emg then told my family doc that i have bfs but just in the last few days alot of numbness in my legs and i keep looking at my arms and the seem to be getting alot smaller or at least i think so so i went to my doctor again and the look on her face wasnt too good so shes now sending me for an emg and the wait is driving me insane cause im almost sure something is terribly wrong and i have no idea what to do anyore im only 22 and i feel like a 70 year old haha no more energy to do anything what do u all think i should do

Hi Stallion,

I can seincerely empathize with your symptoms since mine are quite similar. I have numbness on and off in my arms/legs - and especial in my fingers and toes. Some last for minutes, others for months.

Also, when I first began to twitch (around January 05') - I of course found symptoms of **S on the internet, went a lil nuts and began thoroughly inspecting the size of my arms and legs, poking at the muscles - and comparing limbs with family members & friends (they were to patient and good with me :) ) - convincing myself that I am "soft" now where I once had firmer muscle - that it has desintegrated. The truth is that I never really payed attention to or memorized what my muscles actually felt like, to my anxiety and paranioa led me to believe that my muscles were disapperaing - it was not really happening. Also, when we do not exercise even for a couple of weeks (maybe due to preoccupation and stress over health stuff) - the muscle might not feel as hard).

I hope that this helps.

Tanya
