I am a 57 years old man. First of all I am sorry because I don't know well english language and so try to be clear in my presentation.
About ten years ago I had aches at calves and so I made several check-up (blood, echodoppler,Emg), only Emg stressed some fasciculations at calves, but I didn't have twitchs.
About five or six years ago, after an effort (i.e.: long mountain walking or 50 miles long bike ride), I had frequent and intense twitchs at calves.
Last years I had pin and needles (or better crawly worms) and nonstop twitchs, also when I rest.
Family doctor send me to a neurologist. The neurologist asked me to make several check-up (blood, magnetic resonance, emg) and, like ten years ago, only emg stressed fasciculations. The neurologist recovered me in an hospital for spinal check-up and for motor neuron disease dubious. The doctor team, in the hospital, didn't make spinal check-up, but made still emg, brain m.r., pem, pess and so; the final diagnosis was: no motor neuron disease, but only benign fasciculation and no terapy, they suggest me to reduce effort.
Another neurologist that visit me, after other emg and so, told me that the only "terapy" is <wait>.
Now I have 7/24 twitchs at calves, but for now I make my normally activity, included mountain walk and bike, and often i have aches to calves.
I haven't suggestions, if someone have for me I thank him or her.
Thank for your hospitality
