20 Years of Mystery Symptoms

I don't have these symptoms now, but have for the last 20 years off and on. Numerous tests, can never find anything. I wonder now if these could have been bfs symtoms. I also have had skin crawling feelings off and on my whole life, itchyness (blamed it on allergies), Tingling in hands and feet. Always attributed most of this to anxiety, but could it have been bfs symtpoms all along? I always twitched, just never gave a *beep* until it started happening all the time all over.

I have had funky balance and weird creepy crawlies on my skin for almost 30 years. Personally I think we have always had some variant of this. I think something (a virus?) just finally kicked it up into overdrive.

Oh, yeah. At times, I sway like a drunken sailor...and I don't even drink. Just a few weeks ago, I nearly fell right in public with oodles of people watching. There can be viral causes of this; inner ear disturbances, etc, but it has also been reported here fairly often. Oh, and the tingling seems to happen with most of us as well. Blessings, Sue

Now that's interesting - you mean some sort of dizzyness? That's what I came up with a couple of weeks ago. Do you also feel light-headed and kinda "stunned" sometimes? I'm not really sure if that's related to BFS, but well, I'm going to have my GP check that. The skin crawling and tingling however does sound like BFS, a lot of people people here experiece various sensory symptoms together with their twitching.

When I went to the neurologist a feeling of being about to lose my balance was the symptom I've had the longest. I had a list of nineteen symptoms, the imbalance, ringing in the ears, tingling, creepy crawly feelings, achy joints, heart palpitations, difficulty swallowing, big jerks on falling asleep, sensitivity to light, goose bump feelings, tripping over carpet edges, biting the inside of my lip, excessive yawning, hoarse voice and of coarse widespread twitching. It was almost as if my symptoms came right off the *** site. The funny thing is, I,ve never been a hypochondriac. I never thought too much about my health. In fact I lived with the imbalanced feeling for four years. I had various tests and nothing turned up so I just learned to live with it. When I happened upon the *** site though, it was as if everything suddenly fit and I was right at the average age of diagnosis, 55.I still don't know what this is. I'm somewhat assured that it's not the bad thing because of the time this has been going on with no progression. Maybe it's to do with aging or hormonal changes or maybe it's lyme disease. I still have my days when I freak out but I can usually calm myself.

@angst: i also have this dizzyness in my head, especially in summer time. when it is hot it does not go away.cannot say it has something to do with bfs as i have this feeling for years now.

Hmmm ChauBao, have you checked your blood pressure? Summer heat CAN have a certain influence on your blood pressure, and if it's too high, too low or too unstable it can make you really dizzy.

LisaLM and bsfhopeful - Have you ever tried cranial sacral therapy? My physical therapist used this technique when I was having issues with my neck, shoulder, and jaw. It really eased the symptoms, that weird shifting feeling included. It's very gentle and relaxing. Just a thought.

Sue...didnt you post something once about the feeling like you are rocking back and forth type thing when sitting still? Is there something that causes this (like I know its "normal") but I mean is there a name for it? Or is it just a BFS thing exclusivly?Oh, and is this what you guys are talking about? Since its the whole reason I posted this question to you here instead of PMing you...gawd I'm blonde today lolol!!!!
