I have been twitching for just over 2 years - it started in my head with buzzing at the base of my skull and is now pretty much all over.In the last couple of weeks I keep getting really hot feet, mainly at bedtime. The heat then seems to travel upwards and I have to strip off! (Given we're experiencing the coldest November and December for many years in the UK, it's quite helpful!) I'm wondering if this is something other people have, or if I'm starting the menopause? I'm only in my 30s, but the last 3 generations of women all started their's very early. I also have had for the last year what my GP thinks is a ligament problem on the inside of my knee. However, it comes and goes quite quickly. I can walk the dog for 5 miles and be fine. But then 1/2 hour later I can barely put my foot on the floor. I put some anti-inflammatory cream on it over night and it is absolutely fine in the morning. If it was ligament damage it would surely be bad for several days. Could I have a twitch that's aggravating the ligament? Or some sort of cramping? All suggestions gratefully received!
Hi Daisy, Just wanted to let you know that I have dealt with both of these issues during my year with all this. The hot feet had me wondering the same thing as you (is the change starting early) but this hot feet thing did finally let up about 2 months ago and so far has not returned. My feet always felt hot, like they were running a fever, I used to go to sleep with cold wash clothes on my feet, worked pretty well. I also used to rub lotion on them that contained Menthol, this helped alot as well. Then one day, it just stopped, no more hot feet. The ligament issue however seems to be another issue, except mine was in my knee as well as my foot and ankle. I had assumed that maybe I damaged something from all the crazy strength testing that I used to do with walking on my heals and toes, one legged squats and this was probably it. I was told that while I have this my ligaments and muscles would be more susceptible to injury and was told to take it easy on them and stop testing ) My knee has gotten much better but my ankle and foot still feel the issue on some smaller level.Hope this helps, take careRobynn )
