2 Years of Calf Twitches

Peg! Hi! You are describing my symptoms EXACTLY which is always a bit of a relief to hear since I never seem to find anyone with an exact match and that keeps my mind active sometimes. I have HUGE and CONSTANT calf twitches and have had calf twitches for about 2 years now. 2 normal EMG's. 2 normal NCV's. Still twitching more than ever. They started kind of small and infrequent with just a little visible movements that seems more toward the surface. Then they got bigger and more frequent to the point that it was CONSTANT and all over the calf, like my muscles were firing a few times a second with big jolts that feel like shocks. I would be curious to know if you get cramps in your calf too. I do. I can cause one by standing on my tiptoes.
Point is, you are not alone. I have the same thing. It's really annoying so I think they should change the name of this thing to AFS-Annnoying Fasciculation Syndrome.
Hang in there. I've had it two years now without any other malady.

Wishing you the best.
Lisa

No, Lisa, lets not change the name to "annoying fasciculation syndrome", because the word "benign" is the best part of the name! :) Whenever I start to worry I say to myself", It's called BENIGN fasciculation syndrome, the key word being BENIGN!" How about Annoying Benign Fascisulation Syndrome? :)
