14 Antibiotics in 1 Year: My Story

so, to make a complicated long story short, I have been on 14 antibiotics in the past year. The last round was the Levaquin in the end of February ( just 3 months before all this started) I took both Cipro and Levaquin twice, every six hours - even during the night to rid myself of what they thought was a bladder infection (but was actually kidney problems that I discovered myself - thanks doc). I was on so many antibiotics we couldn't keep it straight, but fortunately I had all of the antibiotic bottles still under the cabinet (hadn't taken them to the special recycling plant yet).Tetracycling, Cipro, Levaquin, Cephalexin, amoxicillan, all sorts of them, but two of them are on the florouquinilone list.... and now I wonder if that contributed to all of this. Right after I finished the dose I had the WORSE knee joint pain I've ever experieuced, couldn't bend whatsoever. It lasted about two weeks and during that time I remember laying in bed and watching my toes move right after I took off my shoes, but it was mild and usually didn't last long (but is exactly what they do now), this continued with a mild twitch in the foot here and there and progressed into my feet cramping horribly all the time, even when walking, my toes would just curl under and seize. Figuring this had something to do with the kidney problem, I asked my doc who really felt it was nothing at all to do with the kidney issue, and told me to eat a banana. That was all in feb and March. April we buy a new home, May we travel a lot and the end of May, a week before the twitching, my husband makes an awful mistake with another woman while drunk, and stoopidly took pictures that I found on the camera (don't worry, it didn't go too far) but it stressed me out madly! My toe began hurting as though I had gout or something and then the cramps got worse, a week after all of this, we went walking and walked 3 miles in new shoes (sketcher shape ups) in the heat. When we got home, I noticed a twingey twitching in my ankle and knee that wouldn't go away, then that night, the whole left leg was twitchy below the knee. I googled that crap and before I knew it everything below the knee was twitching and I couldn't sleep. The weird part is that it started in only my left leg and moved and stayed predominately in my right leg, seven weeks later, it's still there, but it's also popping up all over my body, shoulder - arms, calf, knee, foot, fingers moving all over the place and shaking and trembling, can still walk on toes and heels, but so much stiffness and weird brusing on my legs, arms ache, twitch twitch twitch. I wonder if the antibotics can do this, assuming that it can happen lightly at first and horribly after 3 months of discontinuing antibiotics? Would it still be considered BFS? And why doesn't it all twitch when I'm up moving around, how come I twitch everywhere when I'm trying to rest?Neuro can't see me until september unless I get worse, at that point he will do an EMG... I woould love to discuss this antibiotic issue with him and get his insight - has anyone else had this convo with their doc/neuro?Brandy

Update: Neurologist just called and wants to see me Friday at 2:30PM. Yes! Finally. Perhaps there will be an EMG that day, since he has the machine in the exam room? fingers crossed, prayers, whatever it is you do -- please!?
