0.002% chance of having ALS

The brain is a very strange organ (at least mine is!). I consider myself to be a very rational person, and rarely jump to unsupported conclusions, but I found myself jumping on to the ALS bandwagon with both feet, legs, and arms.

The logical side of my brain was telling me all the right things--the odds of having ALS are miniscule, your tests were all negative, exercise is making you fitter, not weaker, and so on, but the emotional side was still a wreck and didn't want to listen to any of the logical arguments. It just believed I had ALS, and that was the end of it.

Completely irrational, and the weird thing was that I knew it, but it didn't help one bit.
