And reading your symptoms again, I had ALL of them except the rash over the EMG. You're so in tune with your symptoms and every feeling, that your body is manifesting more pain because your in constant FIGHT OR FLIGHT MODE. You're 3 years younger than me and you're the exact same age that I had...

    Exercise Intolerance: Life Changing?

You sound like me, three years ago. Even the dang 2 fingered claw hand that I convinced everyone I really had, even down to the strange grip when I picked up a cup, including my neuro...although diagnostically, this was not so. But man! I was so convinced I had it. 3 years, $20K in medical...

    Persistant Fasciculations as Firefighter

Yes, that happened to me. I took a medication in September of 2011, and a bit later, I had a constant vibrating in both calves. I thought it was RLS because I only noticed it when I was going to bed, but then they progressed to being felt at any given moment when I wasn't moving. Just still...

    Is BFS causing Movement?

I read that when you get a twitch like that, that moves a toe or a finger, it's just a twitch going off deep that it's moving the tendon, which in turn moves the toe/finger. I had these years before BFS set it.

    Waking up Vibrating/Shaking?

Hi everyone. Last night, I was woken up by my body feeling like it was vibrating/shaking. It felt awful and I still feel a little like that right now. Thought I was gonna vibrate right off the bed and onto the floor. Has anyone had that? I've had it before with a leg, but not my entire body...

Fearful Without Having Had an EMG

An EMG didn't cure my anxiety. I took one about 7 or 8 weeks in, and I was practically bawling my eyes out that day. During my final consultation, my doc didn't even really mention the EMG, he was talking about the nerve conduction test and I was like "wait, what about my EMG" and he very...

BFS Onset: Sensory Issues or Twitching?

I think that's normal. That's how it is for me now, and I'm nearly a year into this. For the first 6 or 7 months of this, I exercised as usual. I then stopped because I was kinda depressed. When I stopped, I was very sore andsome weeks I feel stiff. A couple weeks ago I took a 2.5 mile WALK (yes...

    Desperate for Help with Twitching

No more EMG's. You're stressing yourself out and it's counter-intuitive. You've been told that you don't have a MND and you're fine. Understand that many MND/ALS patients do not hear that on the first EMG.

    Diagnosed with MND: Journey

Hi Ian, I read your posts on another forum and am wondering if you're seeking another opinion? I read what you wrote about your specialist saying she could also diagnose you with BCFS, but just in case she's diagnosing you with Benign MND and proceeds to prescribe you a drug saying...

    Myelitis & MS: Risk Factors?

I know I'm bad, but Scandy girl, you're researching your symptoms way too much. Please don't research and google anymore. Try one day, then go from there. I think you're causing your body way too much stress and anxiety.

    Experiencing Anxiety: Common But Misunderstood

Anxiety has to have an effect on us, because you read too many stories, including my own that fit the same pattern:-had some sort of illness or medical condition-began to twitch all over after stress over the previous medical conditionor-began to twitch, (usually) a localized twitch-decided to...

    Bells Palsy: My Story

I don't have too many posts, but I've been lurking on this board for a year now, and can say that you sound like a classic case of BFS.I find it funny how you can sit back and say "that's classic BFS with you", but when you're talking about yourself, you're unsure

    Exploring Muscle Spasms and Therapy

Does anyone know? Can anyone explain to me? Sometimes I get different twitches and think "is this a spasm or a twitch?"For some reason, I've always associated muscle spasms with being cramp like. So that's why I'm here for clarification. On another note, are spasms associated with #LS or MS? And...

    Missed Pre-Twitching Days

I guess I'm a bit melancholy. Twitching everyday is now the norm for me, along with many other symptoms. Oh, if only I were "normal" again, during those lovely pre-twitching days. Knowing what I know now, I'd like to go back and NOT take my regular days for granted.Do you ever miss those days...

Twitching Throughout the Body - ALS?

Mellabella, did you start any new medications prior to your twitching? Just curious, that's what happened to me, and my doc didn't even ask
