    Tongue Twitches: Frequent and Strong?

Who has tongue twitches? How often? Does it feel like a regular twitch, like one you'd experience in your leg? Mine feels so strong and happens at least a few times a week. Anyone else have this? It feels like a few strong flicks of twitching.

    Dealing with Persistent Speech Issues

I know but for me, the speech problems don't get better in the morning. If it were on and off, I might be able to convince myself I'm not dying but it's always there. :/

    Longtime Twitcher: Choking Issue

I have felt every symptom in my mouth/throat/tongue area and yes, I feel kind of like it's trying to get down the wrong pipe and I have to consciously think about making it go down the right one. Hard to explain but it STINKS! I know the fear you're going through and it's pure evil. It's hard to...

    Longtime Twitcher: Choking Issue

On and off for over 2 years, I have had spurts where I feel I can't swallow correctly and times when I choke. This happens to everyone. Also, it is a symptom of GERD or a hiatal hernia. I wouldn't freak out about it even though I know hard it is not to.

My Journey to 42: A Story

I totally understand where you're coming from when you say that you wake up every day immediately thinking that you're dying. I've been there for nearly 2.5 years. Anyhow, I agree with Johnny, as I usually do; it's a boring BFS case.As a young mother myself, I think that being a new parent can...

    Nose Issues: Advice for Newbies

Unfortunately, all this stuff has happened to me (to the T) off and on for the past 2-2.5 years and is happening again now. I know it sucks but I've been told many times that it is anxiety related. My dr called it Globus Hystericus.

    Dealing with Persistent Speech Issues

I know it seems ridiculous, I really do. I just can't shake this fear. I'm not quite sure what to do about it anymore. After 27 months, you'd think the symptoms would ease up but they just stick. Or you'd think I'd just let it go, but I just can't. This is exhausting!

    Dealing with Persistent Speech Issues

I've posted on this forum a few times before but my anxiety had eased up quite a bit over the past 6 months. However, none of my symptoms eased up...just the anxiety. I have had non-stop difficulty with my speech and over 2 years, it has at times felt like it was getting worse but gone back to...

My Speech Problem: A 20-Month Struggle

Oh my goodness, mommyLDN, I would never think you're anything but kind for any response. I know I am a mess and I absolutely don't want to be that way. I do not know why I cannot kick this fear. All my conversations begin with "I can't wait until...(I graduate, go on vacation, etc)...but I'll...

My Speech Problem: A 20-Month Struggle

So you have difficulty with your 's' sounds too? I hate it so much. I do believe I have TMJ but I have a hard time connecting TMJ with difficulty with speech and especially the stupid tongue twitches. Is it bad that I actually cracked up when you said I'd be "toast"? Could that be considered...

My Speech Problem: A 20-Month Struggle

As much as I would love for my troubles to be seizure related rather than ALS related, and although I have never had and EEG, I really doubt that I have a seizure disorder. It's a good suggestion and I really appreciate it but it's not that I can't think of words to get out, it's more muscular...

My Speech Problem: A 20-Month Struggle

I posted a few months ago and I have talked to a few people on here but I am a mess. Here's why:20 months ago (yes, I am counting like a nut, lol) I had this weird feeling that I was having to work harder than usual to pronounce words, especially words with an "s" sound. I am a nursing student...

Thankful for Community Support with BFS

I'm experiencing the same thing as you. Speech issues and all. Especially S's....feels like I have to push everything out of my mouth and force it to sound clear. This has been going on for about 19 months, every day, and the swallowing thing comes and goes. I occasionally get twitches...

Caucasian Race and Age - Disorder?

I'm starting to think it's all about the blue eyes. I knew some day they'd cause me problems. Ive also got some American Indian (sioux) and German. But I have a little bit of everything in me so I probably don't count.
