    Welcome to Our Forum!

Hi Diann and welcome to the forums :) Ok with that out the way it seems like you are in the same boat as a lot of us, if all you have experienced is fascicilations that doesnt sound like a "typical" case of MS, although there isnt really such a thing as a typical case of MS. However to put...

Left Ear Thumping: Should I Be Worried?

Thumping in your ear is not an indication of bfs or anything else neurological for that matter, get an ear exam just to be sure but I'd be surprised if anything shows up at all.

    New to Forum: Muscle Twitching

Doesn't sound anything like a neurological issue..maybe some kind of muscle damage from the gym?Go through the relevant checks with your doctor and neuro but I'll doubt they will find anything that points towards a serious neurological issue. Try and relax, eat healthy, stick with the exercise...

    Concerned About ALS: Storytime

In my opinion, it doesn't sound like you are suffering anything else other than stress/anxiety.YOur symptoms in no way at all sound anything at all like a presentation of MND at all, I'm not sure how you got that idea in your head. Listen to your doctors, you have had multiple checks and...

    BFS Shaking Symptom: Need Help

Sounds a lot more like stress related that anything neurological, i can't think of any neurological illness that presents or shows symptoms in such a way as waking you up shaking unless you were having some kind of seizure..which you weren't.As you said, the idea of having bfs is totally...

    Seeking Advice for Unknown Symptoms

Sounds to me as if you are seeing the wrong kind of doctors, you clearly have no neurological condition and need to see a psychiatrist who could possibly recommend some form of cognitive behavioural therapy.Trust me...the first step to the road of recovery is to stop coming on this forum (dont...

    My Mums Health: A Story

I see a lot of comment on this thread already and I rarely make a post on these forums anymore because of the exact reason this thread has been created.I concur entirely with the original post, I believe that the vast majority of "sufferers" on this website are suffering from the symptoms of...

Question about Jerking While Falling Asleep

Unless its something happening constantly all the time and is causing real pain and discomfort for you to the point where your doctor is thinking that something may be wrong with you then I'd try and relax about this jerking problem.I have to assume you are suffering from a lot of stress/anxiety...

Question about Jerking While Falling Asleep

This is nocturnal myoclonus, its a very common sleep problem that people suffer from, its not a symptom of BFS or on its own a concerning symptom of any neurological condition. It is made worse by anxiety/stress so try to relax a bit and I'm positive it will get better.

Physician Experiences Twitching After C. diff Infection

CFS is chronic fatigue syndrome, in your initial post it seemed as though you would of tied into that more than BFS.However twitching 24/7 doesn't warrant a BFS diagnosis, as muscle twitching can be attributed to other more common problems. In your case a likely cause (considering your medical...

Physician Experiences Twitching After C. diff Infection

mtt0915 I don't mean to sound as though I'm making any judgements here as you are a physician and work in a medical field and would therfore know much more about the onset of neurological problems than I would. However your story does read more of somebody who has suffered from mild post viral...

    Right Arm Ache, Worrying Again?

Arm ache and the muscle feels tired? I hate to point out the obvious but is it possible this is down to possible minor muscle damage in your arm? slept on it funny? lifted something slightly heavy? erm...I dunno the list of possiblities is endless.Let me put this into context, I remember last...

    Shaky Hands and Eye Twitching

The twitching in your eye is a very common symptom of stress and anxiety, the "shaky hands" you describe sounds very much like essential tremor which although can be a symptom of BFS there has never been any clear evidence between the two and no competent neurologist would base a diagnosis of...

    First Year Medical Exams: Myoclonus?

Its boggles the mind to think of the percentage of people who come to these forums suffer exactly from what you just described suchamess. Its a vicious cycle of stress - lack of sleep - twitching - more stress - lack of more sleep - more twitching - even less sleep - other types of...

    Opinion on Vascular Abnormalities Detection?

3 clear MRI's over a 7 year period?! I think its safe to say that whatever it is you seem to be concerned about (I'm guessing MS) that you don't have much to worry about, especially a tumour which would definately show on an MRI. I'm not sure if a pending stroke is visible on an MRI but isn't...

    First Year Medical Exams: Myoclonus?

I have to agree with 43RichyThe43rd on this one.Although you haven't gave a detailed desciption of your symptoms and your background, on the surface your symptoms don't fit into the frame of any neurological disease at least anything serious. After a year without any weakness or any other...

    Calf Twitches: Bulbar vs. ***

This doesn't sound like ALS at all to me. A lot of scenarios could be the cause of your twitching but its very unlikely to be ALS. However without knowing your background it would be impossible to give you a constructive opinion....go see a doctor about your "tongue twitching" and see what...

    Sleepless Nights with Vibrating Legs

Alcohol tends to do that to your body anyway...and if you are combining it with medication it could cause you all sorts of CNS problems.

    Calf Twitches: Bulbar vs. ***

I assume you are talking about ALS?Have you noticed any weakness? when I say that I mean real muscle weakness and not just general fatigue due to your mind working overtime worrying. Contrary to popular belief I've always understood that twitching isn't an initial symptom of ALS, the twitching...

    New Here: Anxiety & BFS?

I'd say your symptoms are consistent with Anxiety not BFS and by the sounds of it getting worse. You say in your post you were an anxious person to start with..let me guess, you noticed a few bad twitches which could of been caused by an endless ammount of benign reasons, then you started your...
