    Welcome Back: Conquering Fear Again

Not exactly true StephG22 - pain in *** could be due to Cramps, Joint pains (due to immobility) and Spasticity. The stiffness that is mentioned on the websites is actually Spasticity (an UMN sign). Lay people mistakely misfit stiffness as one of their symptom. The stiffness due to spasticity is...

Thanks, I will try the bypass for a few days. Since it was expensive, switching it would be a hard sell to my husband:( At least I will know if that is the cause though. Thanks!

Itchy Skin After 10 Years of BFS?

Thank you for your post. We do have a water softener, so that could be it. I'll look into your other suggestions as well. What was your wife's solution? We have a well so the softener has to stay.

Itchy Skin After 10 Years of BFS?

No visual skin problems or dry skin at all. It's been every day (mostly night) for 9-10 months, not coming and going. I don't have anxiety issues or changes in diet that could explain it. The twitching, although constant, doesn't bother me after all these years anymore. Maybe the water from...

ALS Worries: What Should I Do?

before you go you need to make a pact w/yourself that you will believe what he says and go on to live your life. There are no second chances so don't waste another minute on things that are out of your control and on diseases that I think deep down/logically you know you don't have. Hang in there!

    Normal Bicept Sizes: OK!

besides the FACT that it's normal to have less muscle mass in one bicep (I ran out of the gym once after doing bicep curls and noticing a big difference between the two), the fact that you didn't see it till it was pointed out to you probably means it's only a slight difference. Clinical...

MS vs ALS: Under 20 Diagnosis?

If you had ms you would have brain lesions and an abnormal spinal tap. There are specific markers in the spinal fluid. My brother has had ms for years yet you'd never know by looking at him now. Don't worry if your mri & spinal is normal--you're just wasting your life away. Trust me I've...

Its like my leg jerks repeatedly when in a certain position, its rythmic though, like a strong twtich every 2 seconds or so. Sound familiar?

    Saved from Despair: Lyme Symptoms

In als you don't have excess saliva, just inability to swallow it. I salivate a lot just thinking about chocolate so I think it's something that can occur just by thinking about it.
