Congrats on Good Diagnosis - Welcome!

Congrats on your "good" diagnosis, and welcome to the club! A couple things though. (1) I think your doctor was covering his behind. I don't think people go for 11 months unsure if something is wrong and then *boom* in the 12th month things take a horrible turn for the worse. In other words, I...

    GP Visit: Knee, Fasciculations, Anxiety

I"m not sure that a 2 cm size difference especially after 3 weeks of being laid up is enough to get upset about. If your right side is dominant, a 1 cm difference would be quite normal and expected. Add to that the period of inactivity and you could have lost another 1 cm. My husband broke his...

ALS Concerns Despite Normal Strength Tests

Well, at some point your wife will need to accept the BFS diagnosis and move on. While a BFS diagnosis is not a guarantee against some future other unrelated bad diagnosis, experiencing "more of the same" (even if the location, frequency, etc. are different) should not re-trigger the fear.The...

    Returning with Muscle Twitches Worries

MMM - I am right there with you. Went through all this in early 2007 and thought I was over it. And here I am too! :confused:It is interesting this followed four months of anxiety issues - seems to come up in a number of our stories. Same here due to a series of challenging emotional situations...

    Struggling with Emotional Issues

Hi all, I'm an old-timer who has stopped by a couple of times since joining in early 2007. Over the summer I had several emotional issues/losses, and a couple of weeks ago now for some reason I "entertained" the fear I had gone through with all of this way back then. Well, it decided to stay a...

    stopping by to say hi!

Hi, I was active on this board in early 2007 and I don't know what prompted me to come back on here today - it's been so long since I logged in that I forgot my password. I realized yesterday that early next year this will all have started (or happened) six years ago, and that seems like quite a...

    Seeking Reassurances From Seniors

It's true that "life goes on" and those of us who have been here a while don't come by as often anymore, but I remember when I was in the throes of the worst of the fear that it was so reassuring to hear from "old timers" so I try to stop in now and then and it's still comforting to me to see...

Health and Worries of a 38 Year Old

Hi, you sound like everyone else on this board! :) Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing - ha ha!I came to the Board today because it's been almost four (4!) years since this started for me and I haven't been back in a while, but wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing...

    Living with BFS for Years

Hi Monica, I went through my "dark period" in early 2007 and everything is fine, so I'm three years out and nothing "worse" has happened. I just came back to the board today after not even looking at it for almost a year, and it was so helpful to me "back then" that I thought I'd respond.Health...

Returning to Offer Support and Encouragement

Hi all, I haven't visited this forum in several months after being a daily visitor for much of 2007. My twitching and crampiness started in Jan./Feb. 2007 and I spent several months in the darkest state of fear. The old-timers on this board helped me a great deal and I wanted to stop by again to...

    One Year Anniversary: Reflections

Hi all,I haven't been reading or posting much in the past couple of months, but I reached my one-year "anniversary" with all of this earlier this month and wanted to stop by to give the newbies some encouragement.I started having some cramping in my feet and weird sensations (hands & feet) in...

    Exploring Electrosensitivity:My Experience

Hey now, I resemble that remark! Has anyone else ever set their cell phone next to their computer monitor and watched what happens when they get a call? The monitor buzzes all over the place. You gotta wonder, even if you can't tolerate the taste of granola.

    Miracle Baby: Healthy Despite Prognosis

A pregnant friend of mine was told her baby was anencephalic (had no brain), and would not survive after birth, by the person doing her ultrasound. Nearly 3 years later her daughter is happy and healthy, absolutely nothing wrong with her. Can you imagine? This is why the tech is NOT...

Sudden Vision Changes: Seeing a Doctor?

I've had both eye floaters and low blood pressure all my adult life (I'm 45), so they are not necessarily correlated to high blood pressure. However, point is taken that if you experience any sudden vision change, it's worth an urgent trip to the dr.!

    Experiencing Continuous Micro Twitches?

Mine haven't been particularly rapid or non-stop, but I know what you mean - I've had that happen where a spot feels odd and I'll touch it (yes, usually applying slight pressure) and I can feel it twitching.
