Welcome Back: Clean EMG, ALS Fear Gone

Hi everyone. I use to post to the board quite often, but took a little break. Now I'm back and scared out of my mind. The fear of ALS was short lived in my case. I saw a few neuros at Mayo- whom I trusted when they said.. "I could tell when you walked through the door that you didn't have...

    Benign Fasciculation Syndrome: Worries?

Hello,Thought I might put this out there. Many newbies come to this board before they are seen by a neurologist. This being the case, many are very, very worried that they may have ALS or MS. Understandable! But most are unaware of the ongoing question many of us "oldies" have linger after...

    Replace Word with BFS

After I read this article, I went back and replaced the word Fibromyalgia with BFS. It's like an article written about BFS EXCEPT Pfizer hasn't produced a "miracle" drug for us! Thought I'd share.

Sensory Complaints + MS: Mayo MS Specialist

Hi JC. I'm no LisaLM- Lord knows she's a blessing. But I can relay what an MS Specialist at Mayo told me.... MS can be sneaky, but most of the time your symptoms spell out Multiple Sclerosis to a neurologist. When a person presents with twitching it's NOT the twitching that makes the doc...

Serotonin Found in Gut, Not Brain?

A little on this subject... In my Google days, I believe I read that serotonin was found mostly in the gut- where the SSRI/depression commericals would have you think that it was mainly found in the brain. Maybe this is a component to your intestine "food for thought". Hee hee THAT IS A...

Reach for Remission - Don't Dwell!

As LisaLM says... IMHO, if I were you I wouldn't focus on a single twitch, ache, buzz, burn, etc... I'd get the hell off this board and wouldn't give my mind the chance to get "caught up" in this. You're capable on remission- how AWESOME is that??????? Take care.
