Hi there, your situation is very similar to mine. I was in the same, dark, place and I too had panic attacks. I had pain issues 24/7, no matter what I did, nothing seemed to help (to be honest, nothing did help at that time  ). I did get some medication but it didn't do anything good...

    Dry-Needling therapy

In consultation with my manual therapist I decided to try "dry-needling" therapy. At this point I've had three treatments (every week one treatment) and I must say that my arm/neck (pain)symptoms have been reduced since. It's a new kind of method to treat the trigger points in the body and it...

Welcome on board, I think almost everyone here can relate to your symptoms. For me it started almost 1 year ago with a lot of pain and sensory issues in my arms. A few weeks later the twitching started in my legs and spread to other body parts. Like many of us my anxiety was sky high and it...

    Neck Pain and Swallowing Issues

Hmmm... it's been a while for me, but I do recall that it only happened after I ate something (so it happened a lot to me :) ) So it could be that there was actually something stuck in the back of my throat.

Hi there, this looks like a famous symptom in bfs. I had this 'feeling of food stuck in my throat' for 2 weeks together with tongue issues, very annoying. Hang on, you will be fine.

    Desperate Help Needed: 46/yo Male

Hi Jim, don't worry. Many of us here are still twitching after many years. For me, after almost one year my legs are still twitching.Since it all started for me I have experienced symmetrical symptoms, mainly in my arms. Also had a lot of other issues which seems to come and go out of the blue...

    Six Months of Twitching/Pain/Numbness

Hi Andy, pain and sensory issues and the fact you have no weakness steers you away from ALS.I think ulnar issues, disc bulging, nerve entrapments can be the cause of all this crap. I had and still have a lot of issues in both my arms, so I can relate to you.

Twitching in Same Spot 3 Days, Worried About Bulbar

There are many people, including me, that had/have hotspots.I had some hotspots in my arms for a couple of days, also had a hotspot in my eyelids that lasted two whole weeks, very annoying. A horse voice during a cold has nothing to do with bulbar onset. It's normal to have those fears, but...

    Newbie Intro: Anxiety Symptoms

Have you been to a neuro already? I assume you did because you had a MRI and bloodwork done or was this ordered by your GP? Your sensory issues (tingling/shocking sensations etc...) steers you away from ALS, hope that will calm you down a little bit.

    Muscle Tiredness, Soreness, Twitching

My (arm) issues are symmetrical. Twitching is widespread but I notice it's much more present in my legs. When I have twitches in my arms/shoulder/neck, which is a really tensed area to me, I'm not that scared anymore (I used to in the beginning) because it's just benign.

    Panic and Imminent Doom

Try to calm down... looks nothing sinister to me.A few weeks after my symptoms set in I was connecting some computer cables, suddenly I had the feeling someone stepped on my foot, i asked my wife why she did that :D) , but ofcourse she didn't do that. It scared the hell out of me, my feet was...

    MR Reveals Fasciculations & Paresthesias

Now you mention it, YES... during my first MRI (neck and spine) I didn't notice I was twitching more than before. But during my 2nd MRI (brain), a few weeks later, my legs were popping like crazy and they were very strong. btw, I was not anxious at all.

    Losing Mind: Twitching, Pains, Popping

Did you ask why they suspect something like that? They are pretty far off to my opinion. The only suspicion why 'it could be ALS' is real (clinical) weakness which is a red flag to a doctor/gp/neuro. Twitching in feet is very common and is nothing sinister, we all have that here.Sensory issues...

Considering Possible ALS Explanations for Twitching

Hi Andy,Does sound like bfs. I don't think we must see twitching as a symptom but more as a reaction from our body.In another thread today I posted that when you start googling "muscle twitching after....." you get hundreds of results that may cause twitching. So in your case it could be a result...
