Do Symptoms Change Over Time?

I am about 12 months in to this. My question is for the veterans. In your experience do symptoms get better, worse, or stay the same over time?

Mine fluctuate. I have kept a journal for almost a year now, and rated my twitching for the day. I will go a whole week with just 1s and 2s, and then flare up and have lots of twitching in the 7s and 8s, and it will go back down. Not sure why. But, my stress over this whole thing has gotten quite a bit less.Mitra

Thanks Mitra. Mine have fluctuated too. I am just getting over a bad cold and the twitching has been at an all time high during this virus.

I am 7 months into my issues and not counting the first 2 months which were all 10s the last 5 has been like mitra except I rate mine mostly 2-3s with flare ups around 8-9s ...only on very rare occasions I will have a 10 day.anxiety + diet + poor sleep .... any of those factors off and I go up in number....if all 3 then yay 10s!

10 months into twitching.I have days where it twitches a lot, i have days where i nearly don't feel any twitch at all, like in summer for about 2-3 weeks..comes and goes, waxes and wanes..Greetings,LevenLevi

I'm no veteran by any means, but at 7 months in, nearly every symptom of mine has gotten worse. Twitching has continued to worsen, spread, and intensify. Never a break from it (except for a brief 4 hour period on the morning I was sick with laryngitis one night)Myoclonic jerks and tics at night wax and wane, but overall have also spread.Food, environmental, and chemical sensitivities have dramatically increased.Overall sleep quality/efficiency has declined, but time spent sleeping has increased on average.Sensory symptoms have increased (especially numbness...fingers falling asleep and tingling sensations) - these don't really bother me eitherIBS has dramatically increasedIrritable bladder problems have also dramatically increasedTremors have become more pronounced (these do not bother me, however)Exercise intolerance is phenomenal...just walking makes me sore.Migraines and visual "flashes" have increasedDepression has increased. The twitching is the symptom that bothers me the most. Second to that would be the jerks at night. I can deal with all the other symptoms - they don't bother me as much. But my twitching is out of control.
