Comparing Forearms and Hands

I am going to link to an album with different pictures of my hands and forearms where you can clearly see differences in my body. I'm doing this for 2 reasons. One, to see if any of you think any of this looks abnormal which Ive been told no before by a couple people on here. 2. To show that if this truly isn't abnormal that the body is just shaped different from side to side. You will have to click to enlarge the images in the album- Cap

very normal to have differencesI am right handed and some of the muscles in my right arm are smaller than my left and it has been like that for yearsIFyou have to look closelyor move your limbs to certain positionsor squint your eyes to see"atrophy"then you don't have it...that simple

Cap,I have those same dents. If you look at a diagram showing muscles of the hand, the "dent" that you have in your thumb padding is right where two muscles come together. So you are just pointing out the little valley in between the two muscles. Nothing to worry about my friend. -Matt

All that I can see on the pictures is the fact that your hand most probably show hypermobility signs (the way how you could overbend your thumb is amazing!).I wonder how many of us are also HMS persons (it is a frequent condition in general population but varies from slight extra joints mobility up to severe joint weakness, huge scars, pains and some other unpleasant things. I have that too but comparatively mild). Therefore what i can suggest is that all your 'grooves' might be caused by hypermobile joints becuase muscles in that case also follow unusual path following the joints flexibility and/or unusual position of tendons. As for thenar muscle, it looks completely normal. it should have dents when flexed so severely ;)))
