along with my twitches i have a permanent (3 days) crampy 24/7 feeling in the instep of my right foot and quite a lot stabbing burning pain in both legs recently. is this still normal with bfs? anyone with the same symptoms? freaking that it is triggered by testing the footdrop muscle;-(((

Hey Laurent,I've been having foot cramps as well for quite some time (and I am more in shape than ever!). My right calf muscle also cramps a lot.The flu virus just hit me and my feet are twitching and cramping daily. My GP claims that since my body is fighting the flu, chronic conditions, such as my BFS, are usually enhanced. She recommended Magnesium, but I am really against any supplements unless there is a proven deficiency. In any case I wouldn't worry about this symptom. Cramps are so so common, especially with this condition. :) May

I have had crampy feet since I was a young teenager. Like May suggested, the symptom is too common to give much thought other than to do something to stop it if it interferes with daily life.

thanks! may all the best with your flu!i wonder what the burning stabbing pain in legs and feet are leading to. there must be more than just bfs...

I am not claiming to be doctor as one person on here suggested but I have read many times over in medical articles that burning sensations and cramping/twitching are both signs of neuropathy. One is a sign of sensory neuropathy and the other motor neuropathy. Neuropathy is very common. Now where this will go and what caused it are the more difficult questions in my opinion. I think the focus should be on the things that help make it better and just hope for the best. Neuropathy can be severe but manageable when treated and is often not severe at all meaning no treatment is necessary. I hope the later is always the case for you.
