Twitch Syndrome: Slow-Rolling, Burning Symptoms

After two and a half months of twitching I have now been blessed with the tongue twitch. I am concerned that perhaps mine is different than others here and that is what brings me to make another post. The fasiculation is a slow on very unlike the ones I have all over my body. By slow I mean it is more of a rolling twitch and not the quick jerk that the others are and it is accompanied by a burning sensation at the same time. So more specifically the twitch pulls my tongue to the right in and within about a second relaxes and returns to normal. Usually this happens several times (up to a dozen) then subsides for hours or days. My main question is, is this different or has anyone else experienced this???

Sounds just like the benign toungue-twitches. Any doctor can rule out the evil ones just by looking at your tongue for 30 seconds or so. If you have doubts, go see the doctor.I did that myself a coupple of times. My tongue twists especially when Im under press or stress and its just like you describe. Anyway. My tongues has been cleared 3 times by neuros and doctors in a timespan on 1½ years. Hope that helps.

My tongue twitches also appear more when i am stressed or tired. They are accompanied by burning sensations too but are very fine, pulsing ones. Anyway, the tongue mucle is like any other voluntary muscle in our body, twitches can appear in many ways- big, slight, fast, slow, fluttering, buzzing, thumping..... like described in bfs in a nutshell.

I was actually having a little tongue twitching this morning, on the left side, and I don't typically get tongue twitching. Sounds normal to me though. Mine almost feel like someone is poking my tongue, or holding on to it for a second then letting go. I do get rolling types of twitches in my abdominal muscles though. No worries!

Thanks so much for the responses. I don't think anybody here want to discover that they have a symptom that is different from others. The great comfort to me is knowing that many are expiriencing the same symptoms AND are still present to discuss them. You guys are the best. :D)

I just had my first tongue twitch today. A very slight twitch, but I hope it's not the beginning of reocurring tongue twitching. With BFS, anywhere there's voluntary muscle in the body that can twitch, it probably will. I have slight twitching on my face as well and frequent twitching of the eyelids. :( BFS is such an annoying syndrome, thank God it's not a serious condition.

Sound just like what I experienced yesterday and today. (See my post). The same slow kind of twitch compared to the non-stop twitches other places on my body.

Good news for me is that the tongue twitch comes and goes and is never constatant. At least not yet! It does seem to be more prevalant at night, when I'm tired or "more" stressed. More clues to confirm a BFS dx. Although I'm not there yet some people are doing a good job of convincing me to start living my life and to worry much less.God Bless
