hi. anyone else get twitching in their hands after using them to lift something kind of heavy. i have been experiencing this on and off-- would love to hear any one else.. thanks

My 2nd major relapse started with lifting heavying plastic grocery bags with my left thumb and index finger. After that they just kept twitching, more so when I lifted something heavy with that hand. My original neurologist had retired and I had been in remission for several years, so went to an orthopedic doctor who referred me to another neuro. I remember him telling me that he didn't think it was serious since I had experienced twitching in other areas before. Long story short, it remained a hotspot for months, and the twitches spread. 2nd neuro said my clinical was fine, he did do an EEG because the twitching was only in those fingers AT FIRST when I went to him---it was normal. I continued going to him on and off for years until I moved out of state (when I felt I needed to run a new symptom by him.) Best Wishes, Denise

i too had an eeg and it was normal-- but what would they be looking for on the eeg??i am still getting that index twitching and i can see the twitch in between the thumb and the index finger sometimes-- in fact, right now as i type this, the index finger is kind of twitching..

EEG, as far as I know was looking for seizure activity. Partial seizures can cause twitching. I still get the thumb and/or index twitching quite a bit. It must be common it BFS. Best Wishes, Denise
