Right Arm Ache, Worrying Again?

Hi everyone,I told myself I was done worrying about ***, and the last two days have been great, barely thought about it at all and barely twitched. Then last night and all day today I was noticing that my right arm feels like it's asleep or that there is a deep ache in it. Even when I'm not doing anything with it. This makes me think it is weak, or that these are the first symptoms before the weakness. Ugh...and I have a huge cardio exam tomorrow. Normally I would think this is just me being fatigued, but why is it only in my right arm. Any advice would be appreciated. I am going to make a doctors appointment after my school is done. Help...anyone else get this, all day long?V

Hey V, Lovely to the rescue. As I told ya I had the SAME EXACT thing w/ my LEFT ARM....funny thing was it wasn't even twitching- it was like the one place on my body that NEVER twitched...So I couldnt explain it. I braught it up to my neuro during the EMG and she said "whatever it is , is totally unrelated to anything sinister". EMG proved that. Mine would come and go- Sometimes I think we stay TENSED and it can cause it. Also Fibromyalgia...etc. Just remind yourself that your young..your twitches are indicative a benign process and you fit the majority of ALL us BFSers. Ok tomorrow I am off my partial bedrest for the day lol So I wont be on here- but you got my e mail girl.e mail me anytime. Today I've been bored outta my wits I had to put in my hours of bed rest lol Im swelled up like a balloon!!! Drinking plenty of water though!Your fine V..Take care.Lovely

Thanks Lovely,I needed to hear that. I guess being new with all of this (three months twitching and counting) I still have not felt all of the strange feelings that everyone else seems to be experiencing. So when something new pops up I still want to "connect the imaginary dots", even though this shoulder feeling is more pain and annoying than anything and I'm still able to lift myself up, lift weights and carry my backpack. My fiance thinks once my stress level returns to normal (after exams) and I start getting more rest and get back to a regular diet I will forget all about my "issues". I hope that is true. Now, just to get through these next two days. I think I'm pulling an all-nighter tonight. Thanks again(!) for your reassurance, I know I sound like a broken record (I'm annoying myself too).V

Hi VI get a feeling like the entire middle of my back is numb. Also I had for a long time a tired feeling in my upper left arm. I was beginning to think I had heart trouble but I was very relieved to get the same tired feeling in my upper right arm.Sandra D

Arm ache and the muscle feels tired? I hate to point out the obvious but is it possible this is down to possible minor muscle damage in your arm? slept on it funny? lifted something slightly heavy? erm...I dunno the list of possiblities is endless.Let me put this into context, I remember last year I was doing some house work, I stretched slightly to dust the top of wardrobe. Next day I woke up with pain going from right arm down to lower back, kept getting horrible spasms and painful twitches and my arm constantly felt heavy and tired. Assumed I'd pulled a muscle somehow and a few days, some hot baths and ibuprofen later everything was fine. Took me a few weeks to work out how I'd actually done it, until I came to down the house work again and I stretched to clean same place and felt a pain in same place, at no point did it even come to my mind that I may have ALS.
