Hi again all~~
I hope you are all doing well. I'm sorry to be bugging you with another question, but you guys have all been so supportive and reassuring, that it's so easy to turn to you when I'm nervous. And, you know how BFS is, it's like something new each day sometimes.
I was nervous a couple of days ago when I felt my tongue twitch sort of on the side. This kept up off and on for a while, and then last night, my right eye muscles were going at it. It was kind of the muscle right under the eye, going down a little. I am still having that one today. That one is much more continuous than the tongue, and lasts longer. My question is, could that be a bad sign, that I had the tongue one, and now the eye, that it could be bulbar onset ALS? At first, when I had an eye twitch probably over a month ago, I was actually feeling relieved, because I had read where ALS dosen't usually affect the eye muscles. Now, and I'm not sure of this, I think though that that means the actual muscles that move the eye, not the muscles around it. So, at first, I thought having an eye twitch was actually a good sign that it's not ALS, but am I wrong on that? And, then I got concerned thinking, why am I suddenly having so much twitching around my face, and thinking that could be actually a bad sign. I don't have any trouble swallowing or chewing, but I do seem to have some trouble with excess salivation, and notice that especially after sleeping.
Thank you so much for any help! I know I go on and on about this, but you guys have just been so helpful on this board! It actually makes the difference on being able to go about my day and be involved with my kids, rather than being caught up in my latest symptom, and dreading what it may mean. This is the most supportive, wonderful board, and I hope I can return the favor someday! Thanks again, Val
