That photo was taken at Lake Owassa in the Catskills near New Paltz NY on one of the most beautiful summer days. That lake is amazing so I've always loved that picture.
I'm donating my hair in two weeks so I'll have to post a "new me" photo...could be a disaster...I've done it once before but my hair was a bit longer than it is now...
Oh you Canadians...you flatter me- I may just move up there! Trust me, my legs are 100% genetic, my moms look exactly the same....(minus the twitching...)
Ginny and others who need a laugh read the reply that has the "food coloring incident post in it" At the time I was scared to death but of course now it seems funny.... Just goes to show we can all lose it at times.
Here's the update on the worry bug.... Yesterday I was teaching class and had to stand for an hour straight. My legs were like rubber and hurt like you know what... realllly freaked me out.... I mean really.... I thought "I'm going to collapse in front of all these people any minute now.... of course I felt like my legs were trembling and everyone could see..... After class I was able to sit down but it took a while for my legs to feel better...... I GOT SO MAD about the whole thing, right after work I went straight to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes (normally only do about 10-15) and did all the weight machines 3 sets of 15.... That set my left foot off (buzzing and twitching) but my legs felt fine.
Just had to prove to myself I could do it.... Even signed up for Taekwondo classes at the place my son goes..... So there, in your face BFS.... now if my left foot would just stop hurting so much....
Yup,
I'm still mad today and have decided I'm going to do anything I d@@@ well please no matter how much it hurts.....
Now, maybe we better buy that ibuprofen in bulk... What do you think
OMG Mary- like I didn't see that coming ...I knew there was no WAY that question was going to sit out their unanswered...
Yes, hers were the same...but mine are 1/2 inch different. I only measured them once in the beginning of this craziness because I knew I would get OCD about it in a heartbeat if I let it continue....(that was after I said..."mom, look at my calves...is one bigger"...she SAYS "oh yes, the left one is much bigger"....I'm sure she wished she could have eaten those words...)
I know I saw some other really wacky self testing at some point-I'm trying to remember what it was. I know at one point I was doing frog jumps around the lower level of my house...now I stick to an occasional toe and heel walk around just for good fun...
And Sue, that's great that your husband would let you self test on him. Mine adamantly refused to let me squeeze anything on him so I took to squeezing my thighs myself to see if I could cause equal pain to both sides...
