Two Year Follow-Up of Mayo Clinic Study

I'm sure everybody's heard of alot of study's but I just came back from a top neuro. She said the mayo clinic just did a study on 500 people with a normal exam an normal emg and after two years no one went on to have any disease. Now I'm at that two year mark but she also told me even if you were at two months and did not have an emg and just a normal exam and just wide spread twitching you were fine. She only would be concern if you twitching in one limb for 6 months only. Wide spread twiching usually is 99.9% benign.

Yea!!!- I love your neuro (since I haven't had an EMG...it's reassuring to hear...going on 6 months for me...)

Any idea if this study was published; if so where it might be found?

Thanks for that information. It provides me with some relief. I just read the "next season on House MD" under the lounge and that concerned, being unsure if it is a true story or just a tv show.
