Hi,
i had a clean neuro exam a month ago but am worried sick as i have noticed that my main twitching foot as considerably less fat than my other one in the arch where i twitch. It is considerably skinnier. Is this possibly the onset of something more serious?Or is this common? The arch more pronounced on the skinnier foot (hasmore of a dent in it).

Thanks

Robert

You must try your best to stop obsessing over your foot size...or anything else for that matter.

Remember that you had a clean report from your Doctor. You must learn to accept this and move on.

It would be my recommedation to not post your concerns/worries on this site or any other. It will just feed your anxiety.

You need to put this behind you and move on with the important stuff. Don't you have a baby on the way? Try to focus on that. Keep busy and don't waste anymore energy on your twitching. Think of your twitching as a sneeze. Sure you might have some sort of allergy, but it's not going to kill you or interfere with anything else in your life. It's just a sneeze. Sometimes you only sneeze once, other times you may have a sneezing fit. No big deal. You wipe your nose and don't give it a second thought. Same with the twitching. It's just a sneeze.

If you can't stop worrying, make an appointment with your family doctor and get a referral to a mental-health professional. You have nothing to loose, except stress and worry. It's all upside and it's really easy to do. You just have to want to do it.

Good health to you.

When I was very bad I thought that the Twitches themselves were making me loose weitght. I actually thought that since I was twitching like crazy ( estimated 86,000 per day) that that was why I was loosing weight and not the anxiety. I had lost about 30 or more pounds and I'm a skinny guy to begin with ....... Anxiety can Cauase lots of problems, remember that and try to keep it under control.

I too lost about 10 pounds at the beginning of this...your feet may have always looked that way and you never noticed them. I know that was the situation with my calves. I looked and thought "They are TOTALLY different looking". In nearly sure they always were now that I can step back and take a reasonable look at it.

Best thing I ever did was force myself to stop looking and making comparisons....

:)

this is so true, yesterday i spent the WHOLE day comparing my calf muscles because I was absolutely convinced the right one had changed on me and gone all small compared to the other one, I even went as far as walking around a clothing store with my fiancee, and ducking into a changing room to look in the mirror and then do a quick toes and heels walk around,

I am getting married in 3 weeks and I should be talking about that to my soon to be wife, instead of moaning about my twitching and the "i'm gonna die" routine, she's gotten a little sick of it, so today I woke up, my muscles are a bit tight and sore, the twitching is less, and the grip in my hands have come back for the most part so I'm convinced it's all anxiety (also as a side note, the anti anxiety drugs i've been on for just over a week have probbably started kicking in,) felt like crap yesterday, not so bad today :)
