Neuro Unimpressed with Twitching Symptoms

I think Kbug said months not years. I have only had standard bloodwork which revealed nothing interesting. My neuro seems "unimpressed" with my symptoms of continuous twitching. He said sometimes people just start twitching and they don't know why...

Basso... you're a little out of line I think. He very well could have been a physician. My own primary doctor told me I know much more about BFS than he does. It's not like there's a wealth of information on this topic. Anyway, exactly what would have have been accomplishing by posing as a physician in that or any other post? I don't see any reason for someone to make it up.

otherwise... ah i have nothing else to write about.

I had to look Lariam up...I didn't know what it is. You are right, hell of a contraversy going on about it. Perhaps we need someone coming over here, say an Eric type personality to warn us of the ubiquitous nature of Larium poisoning, and that it can be sexually transmitted. LOL Did you take Larium?

I actually don't care if he/she/it is a poser or not. When I see a vulnerable person rankled, I can't help myself but to cast another light on the situation. It is so easy to bandy words like cancer about, and it doesn't serve much use...unless one is absolutely sure of their information; which kbug is not. Even when I went to my GP he said, "well, I don't think you have a problem," and then went on to tell me about a couple of patients with ALS that he had, and talk of other maladies as well. I was mentally well by then, but I left his office feeling a little bummed. Bed side manner, in my opinion, should extend to cyber-space too.

I guess the great thing about this site is there are people from all walks of life. Some people need to get as much info as possible and then disseminate it, bit by bit, while others would rather deal with a broader approach. Both are great, depending on who you are. Of course my way is the best ;). JK

cheers,
Basso

yeah i took lariam and it triggered my chronic fatigue. i had the infamous psychotic reaction to it... not fun at all. even after showing my doctor press stories about it he was reluctant to accept that there are problems with it.

does anyone have the reference to the article kbug10 is writing about. I'm scared of this Lambert-Eatons myastenisc syndrome because for me the paresthesias are the worst symptoms (cannot wear jeans/tight pants because then it becames unbearable) and I read that in this syndrome the subjecitive felt symptoms like paresthesias and pain are present years before any objective pathology is found. And I feel so weak.. specially after walking. I don't mean to scare you! Can this syndrome be ruled out by some tests of any kind?
