IVe have constant fasciculations[the rippling invisible finger type on the back of my legs and feet for 4 years]last weak started getting distorted vision in boths eyes flickering strobe[apparently nerve cell changes]seen eye specialist 2 days later all related to migraine, and was told not connected to fasciculations or bfs.

If you look on many of the anxiety website, it will show many eye issues as a symptom of stress/anxiety. Flashes of light, floaters, blurry vision are some of them. I've had what you have also. It was when I was in my high anxiety time of this episode. I just shock that off as anxiety and it has gone away since.

These are called ocular migraines, and I've had them since I've had bfs. Coincidence? Perhaps. Or maybe it is just another one of those weird, wild and wacky bfs symptoms that no one knows about yet.

Either way, they are quite benign and can be caused by stress, dehydration, stress, etc, lol. There are, however some serious eye conditions that can cause similar symptoms, so it never hurts to get it checked out.

Blessings,
Sue

I have these too. Been going on for over 3 years...scared the crap out of me the first time..thought I was having a stroke. I lost pieces of my vision for over 30 minutes, followed by a short, but intense headache (less than 5 minutes) Been to several opth guys, and they found no mechanical failures. Finally went to a NeuroOpthamologist, and he declared that I have acephalgic migraines (migraine without the long-lasting devastating headache). I also sometimes see birght points of lights, for a few seconds and then they are gone. This is a type of floater I've been told.

Don't think the lights are related to BFS, but who knows? Been aware of my twitching for 2 months now, but may have been going on longer. By the way, the Neuro told me the number 1 trigger for migraines was stress. I notice I can get them more often when stresseed. Go figure!

Hang in there!

During the first 3 months of my symptoms last year, I would get the flashes. Also, thought I was having a stroke and went to the ER. I was diagnosed with stress induced Aura Migraine. I must admit I was at the height of my anxiety over all this, couldn't sleep, eat, could barely function. Since I have been through all the tests and have done "fairly" well coping with a BFS diagnosis, I have not had the flashing, so I am pretty sure it was due to the intensity of my stress. I do notice the floaters occasionally, particularly when in bright light, like out in the sun. Have had them for years, well before all this BFS s*it....oh, I mean stuff. ;)
