Considering a Physio Visit?

FB - have you thought about going to see a physio?

A really good one will be extremely well versed not only in RSI-type issues but also a variety of neuro and muscular problems.

I found that because my neuro and GP were not able to clinically detect my hand and arm problems, they were not particularly interested in them.

A few minutes with my physio and she was able to provoke various types of nerve pain and find a lump (not a bad lump!) in my neck which may very well be responsible.

When you do accept that your problems may not be related to "the bad thing" and want to do something to make it better, it may be worth considering.

zEarthyRanger,

That's an excellent suggestion. I was planning to ask for a referral to a physio if my neuro exam next week goes well. Given the sensory symptoms I've had recently (rt shoulder pain, elbow and wrist pain), I need to do something to improve my work ergonomics. My ergonomic keyboard (finally!) shipped today, so I should have it when I get back from Atlanta late next week. As someone with very broad shoulders, typing on a regular keyboard can be tough. Hopefully, a physio will be able to help.

I am a little late in posting this but my neuro said after my first initial visit that an emg would be overkill. He felt it was unecessary. I went back 3mths later, exam still the same. He then told me I did not have to come back unless things worsened. I have had new hotspots and things happen since then but can't say worse. I have been twitching 15 months now. Try to put the what if he is wrong or missing something behind you.
