Thanks to everyone for the support. My appointment was good, the neurosurgeon told me that he thinks this spot is a congenital thing that was just not picked up before on the MRI. He told me to get re-checked next year, but said the spot was not causing any of my problems...so, very good news! Thanks again for the support...

Awesome!! Don't give that spot another thought OK! My dad has a benign tumor on his pituitary gland and it was found by coincidence when he had an MRI for other reasons. It worried the heck out of him for a while, but now he doesn't even think about it. This is VERY common stuff. Consider it just like another freckle on your body.

Thanks Amy. My neurosurgeon even managed to make me laugh by saying "Pardon the pun, but now you can put this out of your mind". I'm sure he uses that one alot!
