BFS: Buzzing Sensation Accepted

My buzzing sensation was at its worst when the fascics first started-Oct. 2004. However, its died down considerably. I just accept that now as part of the bfs. That is easier to do when you have other people experiencing the same thing. Don't worry. ;)

thanks for the great advice and yes James my neuro does not have good bedside manner which freaked me out even worse. He is sending me to a doctor at UCLA for a second opinion. What scares me is that since this buzzing is coming after 5mos of fascics and it's so different from them that it is fibrillations or something which is pathological. I asked the neuro this and he said it could be.

"Twitches with BFS vary greatly. A lot of people experience "buzzing" which is actually a very fast, small twitch that feels like someone is holding a vibrator against your skin. Other twitches appear as little ripples just under your skin. These are usually felt but sometimes aren't."

From Aarons BFS in a Nutshell thread.

I found this while doing a search on Google for fibrillations.

"Fibrillations are very different from fasciculations. They represent spontaneous electrical activity and very feeble contraction of individual muscle fibers. They are NEVER visible clinically, and they are NEVER felt by the individual suffering them. They are detected on EMG examination."

The fact you can feel them is a good thing. Relax. :)
