Chronic Twitches: 6 Months and Counting

I have been going through a hard time for about 6 months now when my twitches first started.

It all started when I woke up with a headche and tingling feeling in my head that lasted for one month. I started getting twitches in my calves and then over my entire body. I went to the doctor (GP) who said it was a virus. He did run complete bloodwork and a brain MRI which came back normal, other then my blood Glucose being a little high. He said we could re-check that in 6 months.

Since then the twitches have continued and I went to a Neuro on my own. He did the exam and did not see one twitch. He said I did have brisk reflexes though. He also said he did not think I had --- as it does not presnt that way. Maybe presnting MS, but my MRI was clean. No EMG was done.

I'm still twitching and feeling tired and think I have --- 24/7. It is screwing up my life big time! Any advive would be great.

Thanks!
Mark

Take the time and read this wonderful site.....

Believe your Docs.....

I've been twitchin' a good 13-14 months and have been where your are. Don't stop living.....keep going......test yourself in little ways daily, and in time you'll feel better.....

If you feel you need MEDS, get them......

There are a bunch of very good people here for support.....

The best I can offer is try not to "sweat it." Sure, it sucks. It can wear you down physically as well as emotionally. It can go into "remission" and then "flare" after an illness or stress.
On the positive side, after dealing with this for over 7 years, I can honestly say that my symptoms are not nearly as intense as they were when this annoyance first began.
Be good to yourself. Don't try to do too much physically. Try and reduce your stress level whenever possible. If you're having an especially bad day try to keep in mind that you'll probably feel better in a few days. Personally, I've found solace in my religious beliefs during the most difficult times.
Just hang in there, you'll be ok.

I can tell you for sure that you will not be satisfied until you get an EMG,believe me I know. I have been twitching for ten years and have been through it all. :D)

An emg does not hurt as much as getting my eyebrows waxed, so do it and you will feel like you're on cloud 9 afterwards with your good results.
