Hi!I don't know how I could describe my worries without quoting that article, sorry. That text even goes on to say "The differential for your constellation of symptoms is broad and includes radiculopathy (compression of nerve roots caused by structural abnormality of the back), fibromyalgia...
Hi!My twitching has gotten a lot worse in the last year after 6 years of fasciculations. What worries my is that I can now induce cramps early in the morning after I wake up. This morning I got a painful cramp on the outside of my lower leg by stretching my leg.Has anyone experienced this...
Hi!Has anybody experienced a tongue-twitch that is so fast and intense that it pulls a single muscle fiber in doesn't let go for a minute or so? I had a pulling feeling on the right side of my tongue and looked in the mirror: There was a small, deep dent on the right side, and after a while it...
I'm having a hard time lately because my right knee hurts when I climb stairs. Moreover, my right thigh has some nasty grooves when I strain it, and has some strange fasciculations that don't just involve one single fiber, but move through the whole muscle. These are not these big, fast twitches...
I can't really add much other than that I could have written that. I too hate venting because taking an inventory of my twitches usually doesn't help my anxiety... My twitching went from a small twitch in my tongue seven years ago to some twitching in my feet and calves (maybe two years in) to...
Hi!I keep getting a twitch in my elbows that I can influence by slightly contracting my arm: It's a rapid fire twitch (about 10/s) that I can speed up by slightly activating the muscle. I guess it's not a contraction fasciculation because I can't provoke it by slightly contracting the muscle and...
Hi!There's even a paper about this:"Our study suggests that, in addition to the lack of neurological deficits and the absence of abnormalities on electromyography, a history of psychiatric disorders and psychosomatic illnesses in persons experiencing increased burden of life stressors could be...
My tongue twitches often. I even had one that went on 24/7 for a year and a half and then stopped, there's a video of that one somewhere in my old posts. In fact, tongue twitches were what made me visit a neurologist for the first time six years ago. He was and still is unimpressed by them.
Hm, you're the expert, but I don't think that you can see weakness in the hands by looking at the fingers when they're relaxed. AFAIK you normally look for uneven spacing when the patient tries to spread his fingers as far as possible. On that photo, your hands look perfectly fine to me.
Biting the tongue while asleep is really common and harmless. If your tongue was really weak, you'd bite it while eating, speaking etc. while you're awake.
Hi TwitchyMD,mine looked just like that. But I had them one hotspot at a time. But I don't know why that should make a difference... Looking at your other videos, your twitches really look a lot like mine...
It would be great if we could "explain" BFS, but I always thought that I twitch really bad when I wake up at night or in the morning, because I overbreathe while I'm asleep. At least my wife says that I'm breathing much too fast, so much that she often can't sleep because of it.
I can remember that my hand used to twitch a lot for weeks at a time a year after this all started for me. And I had lots of cramps that moved my thumb towards the palm. I haven't had this as a hotspot for a long time now. So I guess yours will also eventually stop.Recently, I have rather strong...
