    Help Needed: Weird Twitching Problem

Sounds like BFS, Joel. If you look in the General Topics forum and go to the BFS In a Nutshell post, I think you'll see everything you're experiencing lines up with BFS. If you are really concerned about it, it never can hurt to go see your doctor and show them what's going on. Maybe they'll...

    BFS Twitches: Types & Experiences

My twitching comes in 2 modes: (1) you can physically see the twitching and it's very similar (if not identical) to the twitch you'd get when you have over-worked a muscle. You see it fire and sometimes it keeps going and going. It doesn't hurt and is just "there." Depending on where it's...

Adding My 2 Cents: Blurry Vision & BFS

I think the previous posts nailed it, but thought I'd add my 2 cents: Is blurry vision common with BFS? I don't think so, but I agree it is with anxiety. I've been fighting anxiety for probably 9 to 10 months now (along with this blasted twitching crap) and my vision isn't so much blurry...

Can ALS be Diagnosed with MRI?

Disregard that last phrase in my previous post...not sure where that came from. Getting tired - going to bed. Take care!!! :D)

Can ALS be Diagnosed with MRI?

I had "dents" in my elbows, too. Especially my left elbow. I totally thought I had the dreaded "A". However, after finally getting of the anxiety for a couple minutes and finally getting my feet underneath me, I realized I had "dents" in my left elbow because it was how I was putting my elbow...

    Exploring Neuro Symptoms

bchap05 - if your symptoms have been going on for literally years now, I'm guessing you shouldn't have to worry too much about ALS. Sounds like you may have some health anxiety, but maybe something truly is going on in you. However, that being said, I can say that I've had recent bouts of...

    No Power Needed Jackhammering

HA! I was a fire fighter until just recently (before the twitching started). I wish I would have twitched while firefighting. Makes putting out the fire a WHOLE bunch easier! You don't just put the hose and water on one place - you've got to move it around. Well, by twitching, it's...

    twitching when sleeping

Very normal. I've seen it over and over again with my twin boys. Just noticed it yesterday w/ one of them. I think it's that moment when they are "truly" falling asleep. Kind of neat to watch actually...

    BFS vs. ALS: Buzzing Differences

Many thanks - everyone. Excellent info and I appreciate everyone's time. It's just so amazing how this effects everyday life. I've discovered...unfortunately...that I have a significant amount of health anxiety and I'm over-analyzing various signs and equating them to God-aweful diseases...

Nerve Support with Vitamin B & Magnesium

A magnesium supplement seems to help me, but the last 2 days I'm wondering if I've grabbed sugar pills vs. true supplements since the twitching in both feet and my left arm have been almost continuous. Agree with Basso, exercise does help. I ride my bike and this does typically help me.

Monkey Eating Donut, Sally Struthers Throws Sushi

I don't take the Xanax much (but today may be different...), but I've noticed no dreams that are more vivid than others. Actually, I hardly remember any dreams ever...whether I drink, take Xanax, get a good night's sleep, etc. However, on the twitch side, Xanax has typically always helped on...

    Twitching: Taking this Medicine?

Xanax helps me with anxiety and twitches. I have also read about it sometimes "causing" twitches in people, but the exact opposite is what I've seen. I only take a .25mg dose and only when I need it - typically one a week on average...however, I've had a few more lately. I had to...

Why can't I let this go???

Julie, Just a couple things to add from what others have shared. I guess first, you may want to consider yourself lucky - yes, not the greatest thing to say...but relatively speaking, things could be worse, right?!?! Your twitching has been going on that long AND your neuro said all is clear...

    BFS and Jaw Fatigue/Pressure

Stress, stress and stress. It's amazing that we can't use the human mind to move a car because it seems like my mind is that strong sometimes... I've had numerous bouts of thinking my jaw was getting weak as I chewed food. I was convinced I was losing weight because the tired jaw syndrome...

    Questions About Twitching and Weakness

Jason, I'm w/ Karianne on this one...if it's been 2 months since this "started" then you'd likely have other issues surfacing... I've been in the same boat...my worries have migrated from cancer to ALS, to MS, to just about everything else a human body could possibly have... Between therapy...
